Meet the Doctors
Dr. Thomas Vigliante
Dr. Vigliante was born and raised in Saint James, NY. He was a student at Saints Philip and James elementary school and Saint Anthony’s High School in Huntington. He attended Sienna College and completed a Post Baccalaureate program at Stony Brook University focusing on Medical Sciences. Dr. Vigliante received a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine.
During his residency at Stony Brook University Hospital he took particular interest in new dental technologies, including computer guided implant placement and digital impressions for computer designed and fabricated restorations. These new technologies allow Dr. Vigliante’s procedures to be completed with the least amount of healing time to the patient and with the highest degree of accuracy. Additionally, Dr. Vigliante attends continuing education courses through The Dawson Academy to further his expertise in cosmetic and general dentistry.
Dr. Vigliante takes the time necessary to ensure each patient is clear and comfortable with their options for treatment. He treats patients of all ages and takes pride in providing them with care and compassion. Dr. V has also devoted time to outreach missions in remote areas to provide dental care to those who do not have access to it. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing and skiing.

Dr. Gregory J. Skrapits
Dr. Gregory Skrapits has been practicing Dentistry in the St. James community since 1987, providing compassionate and conservative dental care. Following in his father’s legacy, Dr. Lewis Skrapits, who served the community at the same location from 1962, Dr. Gregory Skrapits continues the trust and expertise our patients expect and deserve. Additionally, Dr. Gregory has expanded the scope of the practice to include: implant placement, periodontal surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and sleep Apnea treatment through extensive continued education.
Dr. Gregory J Skrapits received a degree of bachelor of science in Biology from Binghamton University in 1983. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1983. He completed his oral surgery externship and the Presbyterian University hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Gregory has held a position as an associate clinical professor at Stony Brook University School of Dentistry. He continuously keeps up to date with the latest advancements and developments in the field of dentistry, participating in numerous continuing education courses including advanced implant training and advanced cosmetic dentistry training.
